In order to sell anything in this gym, we would have
had to do the following:
· Obtain a permit, and give 12% of the gross proceeds to the City
of Lincoln
· Obtain a $1,000,000.00 (one million dollar) liability insurance policy
and make the City of Lincoln as additionally insured.
The cost of such a policy for this one time event is prohibitive for our club.
Our festival is funded using monies that we've earned as a club over the years.
Some years are good, others not. Keeping a reasonable amount of money in the
bank assures us we can continue to host these fests.
WE CAN NOT VEND IN THIS GYM.
WE CAN NOT SELL YOU POP FOR $0.50
WE CAN NOT SELL YOU WATER FOR $1.00
WE CAN NOT SELL YOU A T-SHIRT FOR $12.00
WE CAN NOT SELL YOU A RAFFLE TICKET FOR $1.00
WE CAN NOT SELL YOU 6 RAFFLE TICKETS FOR $5.00
THESE ITEMS ARE OUR GIFTS TO YOU AS THANKS FOR ATTENDING FLATLAND 2003.
WE CAN NOT VEND IN THIS GYM.
However, if you were to discreetly make a free-will offering
to our club, well, we can not refuse that, now can we?
ALL THESE ITEMS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SALE AT THE PUBLIC
SHOW SATURDAY NIGHT!
